Prague’s Jewish Quarter and Old Town Tour

Following Prague’s reconstruction in the 19th century, only a fragment of Prague’s Jewish heritage remains. But it includes several important synagogues and the famous Old Jewish Cemetery, all located in a relatively small and easily accessible area. The Old-New synagogue is one of the earliest synagogues still in use in Europe. And the Pinkas synagogue is a moving memorial to the tens of thousands of Prague’s Jews who died in the Holocaust.

The nearby Old Town Square is closely linked with the history of the Czech nation and has witnessed all the important events which determined the course of the city’s history.
